In Uddevalla, the local Uddevalla party made a huge step forward, from 7.8 to 12.5 percentage points. As the fourth largest party, they managed to bring together six parties in a "grand coalition". Today, they rule with the Moderates, Liberals, Christian Democrats, Center Party and the Environmental Party.

"It has been an interesting experience, because I never think that in Uddevalla's history there have been six parties in a major of cooperation," says Christer Hasslebäck (UP), chairman of the local council.

The bathhouse continues to engage

During the first year in power, some decisions received extra attention:

• A consultant has been hired to find proposals for, as well as investors, suitable construction projects in Uddevalla and Ljungskile center.

• The bathhouse continues to be a lengthy issue. The current opposition proposal for placement is still the case. But when the plans are re-examined, there is uncertainty about whether it will be a construction start in 2020.

• Big savings were pushed through. Between 2020 and 2022, 188.2 million will be saved. While choosing to expand the political organization and pay more politicians.
