Entrepreneur Örjan Winkvist (who is also a leisure politician for the Liberals) has visited Hong Kong himself and participated in the demonstrations there. Now he wants to show that the outside world is supporting the protests.

- For those in Hong Kong, it is very valuable that we show our support. I risk nothing but the protesters there risk their lives, the police shoot at them, he tells SVT News.

Two counter-demonstrations

He guesses that there will be a modest crowd of about 50 people who join up on Mynttorget outside Parliament on Monday.

At the same time, there are concerns about confrontations with counter-protesters. The same afternoon no less than two counter-demonstrations are held in Stockholm. One on Sergel's square and one on Mynttorget, and in social media the tone is very harsh.

In-house chat threads on Chinese social media that SVT News has taken part in, the question is asked if anyone "wants to come and destroy" for the Hong Kong manifesto. It is also being debated about "tearing them apart", but perhaps at a later date due to police presence.

- I'm not afraid, but shocked by the hostile tone, says Örjan Winkvist.

For Hong Kong - not against China

At the same time, he points out that the manifestation is a support for Hong Kong, not against China.

- The Chinese propaganda says that the protests are about Hong Kong becoming independent, but it's not about that.

Is there a risk of trouble this afternoon?

- In the chat threads it says that they should be prepared and that they should bring jokes, but I have told my team that we should leave from there if they want to fight.

The protests in Hong Kong have been going on for three months. They were triggered by a bill that would allow extradition of suspected criminals to mainland China. The proposal has now been withdrawn, but the protests have continued.
