The Haas Formula 1 team and its title sponsor Rich Energy, brand of energy drinks, "have amicably agreed to terminate their partnership with immediate effect," the US team said on Monday. a statement.

"While enjoying substantial brand awareness and exposure through its partnership with Haas F1 Team in 2019, a restructuring process at Rich Energy requires a review of the company's global strategy," says the text.

This decision puts an end to several weeks of uncertainty since the announcement on the Twitter account of Rich Energy of the unilateral termination of this contract because of poor results on the eve of the British Grand Prix in July.

This coup had led to the dismissal of its instigator, the CEO William Storey, and the takeover of the brand by its shareholders.

Haas and Rich Energy have been linked since the start of the 2019 season. It was the first time the US team, which arrived in F1 in 2016, had teamed up with a title sponsor.

In the seven rounds remaining on the calendar of the current season, Haas cars will remain black and gold, the colors of Rich Energy, but will no longer wear the name of the brand, said the team.
