“A criminal case has been opened against the 29-year-old mother of the child on the grounds of a crime under Article 125 of the Criminal Code (leaving in danger),” the statement said.
According to the investigation, on September 4, in the village of Krasnoye, Tarnogsky District, a woman left her child in a sandbox with two young sisters, and she went to a friend’s house next door to feed her newborn child. When she returned, she did not find the girl.
They searched for the girl for two days and found on September 6, a kilometer from the village. She is currently under medical supervision.
More than 400 people took part in the search, including investigators, rescuers, local residents, and volunteers.
It was established that the mother of the child was repeatedly brought to administrative responsibility for the improper fulfillment of parental duties and was on preventive maintenance at the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
