“During the monitoring of mass media on a single voting day, the facts of distribution on the Google search engine, on the social network Facebook and on video hosting Youtube of political advertising were established,” Roskomnadzor said.

They noted that such actions by foreign companies "are unacceptable."

Earlier, Roskomnadzor sent appeals to Google and Facebook to prevent the spread of political advertising on their platforms on September 7 and 8 in connection with the elections in Russia.
