A magnitude 5.4 earthquake occurred in Sichuan Province, China inland on the morning of the 8th, and one person has been killed and 29 others have been injured so far.

According to the China Bureau of Earthquake, a magnitude 5.4 earthquake occurred at 6:42 am on the 8th and around 7:42 am Japan time, with the epicenter in Uchijiang, Sichuan, China.

According to state-run China Central Television, one person has been killed and 29 persons have been injured in the earthquake, and two of them have been seriously injured.

In addition, 17 houses have collapsed and more than 200 buildings have been damaged.

In the video from the local area, you can see that the roofs and walls of many houses have collapsed and are scattered on the street.

In areas close to the epicenter, more than 10,000 households were temporarily out of power and many trains were suspended.

Aftershocks continue in the area, and the weather authorities are calling for caution.
