Al Jazeera will air Sunday evening at 10:05 am Makkah time (7:30 GMT) to investigate the Malaysian sovereign fund and its related corruption scandals.

The investigation, titled "Looted Wealth," speaks of the Malaysia Development Berhad Fund, set up by former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak in 2009, before the fund accumulated billions of dollars in 2015.

It also points to the most prominent figures associated with this sovereign fund, its involvement in profiting through it, and how the strands of the great game that have resonated globally in business and economics are unfolding.

The former Malaysian prime minister, businessman Joe Law, UAE ambassador to Washington Yusuf al-Otaiba, Saudi businessman Tariq Obaid and others were put on the dock.

The Times described the corruption scandal of the fund as "the largest corruption scandal in the world," and pointed out that the investigation of this corruption is taking place on three continents.

She explained that there are claims in America alleging that about $ 4.5 billion was stolen from this fund, and was spent in the purchase of works of art, buildings, jewelry and luxury yacht.

The Malaysian fund case is "a vivid example of the fall of politicians in the solution of corruption, when their interests intertwined with the greed of businessmen, and allied themselves with external parties that cultivate misery in the world, to reap happiness in their kingdoms," the investigation says.
