In case there were few signs that point to the electoral repetition as an exit to the political blockade to form a Government, this Saturday two other new ones have been known that give more consistency to the fact that on November 10 the Spaniards will vote again: RTVE has tendered the contract of a new set in case there were elections and the Central Electoral Board (JEC) will complete its renewal process starting on Monday.

In the case of public radio and television, the Public Sector Contracting Platform has published the contract specifications, tendered by the simplified open procedure with a base budget of 40,000 euros, as El Independiente has advanced.

The deadline set by the purchasing department for submission of applications expires at 10 am on September 23. That date is precisely the deadline on which the two month period stipulated by the Constitution ends so that there is an investiture if a first attempt fails, as happened in July. If there were no investiture, elections would be called automatically for November 10.

The news of the contract has caused a new encounter between United Podemos and Pedro Sánchez. Several leaders and prominent members of the formation of Pablo Iglesias have launched themselves through social networks against the PSOE to throw him in the face of "difficult to negotiate as well".

"While the PSOE speaks of the nth 'only stumbling block', the RTVE of the single administration of the PSOE already knows that we are going to elections and preparing for it ... well," said the spokeswoman for the Executive of Podemos, Noelia Vera

Similarly, the head of the team that negotiates with the PSOE, Pablo Echenique, has lamented that Sanchez "wants to take us" to elections. Then it has drawn attention so much that the link with the contract tender has disappeared from the website and that the file number is dated August 21. For his part, the Galician deputy and leader Antón Gómez Reino said: "Difficult to negotiate like this".

Delay in the configuration of the Electoral Board

As for the Central Electoral Board, its renewal will be completed as of Monday with the designation of the five members corresponding to the Congress of Deputies. A decision that was taken last Wednesday unanimously at the Bureau of Congress.

Due to the current configuration of the Congress, the socialist group has to propose two members and those of the PP, Cs and Unidos Podemos, one each. They have until Monday to register the names of these people who must come from the academic field: they can be active professors of Law or Political Science and Sociology.

Their appointments would complete the renewal of the electoral arbitration body, since the other eight members proposed by the General Council of the Judiciary were announced in the Official State Gazette last August 3.

In reality, the renewal of the Electoral Board will be undertaken late, since the designations must be carried out within 90 days of the constitutive session of the Courts, which was held on May 21. It has been more than three months since then, hence the urgency of the procedure.
