According to TASS, the lawyer of Ukrainian sailors Sergey Badamshin, “accompanied by traffic police crews, three buses with sailors will probably go to Vnukovo airport, from where they will fly to Ukraine.”

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that a decision on the exchange of held persons will be announced jointly by Moscow and Kiev in the near future. He also said that the exchange between Russia and Ukraine will be large-scale.

At the end of August, the Kremlin announced some progress on the issue of the exchange of prisoners with Ukraine.

Viktor Medvedchuk, head of the political council of the Ukrainian party Opposition Platform - For Life, also noted that Russia and Ukraine are close to successfully completing negotiations on the exchange of held citizens.
