“The plane arrived from the Khmeimim base in Moscow,” Anna Kuznetsova, the Commissioner for Children's Rights under the President of Russia, wrote on her Facebook page.

She noted that the children were fed and then fell asleep.

“We are at home, everything bad is behind us,” the ombudsman added.

On September 5, Kuznetsova announced that at the end of September a package of documents would be ready to start organizing the departure of the last group of Russian children from Iraq in coordination with the local authorities.
