The AU Peace and Security Council unanimously announced the lifting of the suspension of Khartoum's membership in all activities of the African Union imposed since June 6, and according to this resolution, Sudan will regain its natural position within the AU system and its various organs.

This came in a closed session of the Council held Friday at the headquarters of the African Union at the level of permanent representatives.

The Council considered the situation of Sudan in the light of a report submitted by the Chairperson of the Commission of the Union Moussa Faki, reviewing all developments in this country and the mediation efforts made to reach a political agreement and the constitutional document.

The report also reviewed the operational steps that culminated in the national consensus on the Sovereign Council and the civilian government, and concluded that these developments reflect a full response to the conditions laid down by the African Peace and Security Council.

The Council expressed its congratulations to the Sudanese people on the "historic achievement" which will provide the conditions for stability and peace and work for the promotion of economic and social development in this "brotherly" country in line with the aspirations of the people and aspirations.

He also expressed his gratitude and gratitude for the efforts of the Chairperson of the Union Commission, his strategic advisor Hassan Labat and the Representative of the Union to Sudan, Ambassador Mohamed Belaish.

Morocco holds the presidency for the month.

In June, the union suspended Khartoum's membership in all its activities until a civilian-led transitional authority was formed.
