05 September 2019Facebook Dating from today will be available in the United States. Marc Zuckerberg spread the news through his social media and explained that from now on, Facebook Dating channel users can also make appointments by integrating their Instagram profile.

"I am excited to see how it will help people get together and find love around common interests, groups and events," explains Zuckerberg on Facebook, founder and CEO - CEO - of social media.

The Facebook dating platform will try to challenge Tinder and the other social dating apps. Facebook Dating was announced a year ago but in recent months it had been made available to a small circle of previewed users.



Zuckerberg in the post emphasizes the issue of privacy and security, saying that from the beginning the project was followed by the leading experts in the sector.

From today the service is active in twenty states. In addition to the United States, Facebook Dating is already used mainly in South America in countries such as Argentina, Brazil and Mexico. It will probably be active in Europe at the beginning of 2020.

At the time of the announcement, Facebook recorded a surge on the stock exchange, with shares rising by around 2% in just a few minutes.
