“The parties discussed cooperation in the field of energy security, in particular, stressed the importance of diversifying energy supplies to Ukraine by arranging their supplies from the United States,” the press service of the President of Ukraine said.

The parties also appreciated the signing of a memorandum between Kiev, Warsaw and Washington on the supply of American liquefied natural gas.

At the same time, Zelensky thanked the United States for its "consistent opposition" to the Nord Stream 2 project. He also said that he hoped that the US Congress would decide on sanctions against companies associated with the project.
