The City of Stockholm has previously been rejected by the police justice unit when they wanted to have municipal guards in the Järva area. Now the application has been approved and as of Monday 9 September, the city's municipal guards are entitled to patrol in central parts of Rinkeby, Husby, Spånga and Tensta.

But first, they will get a two-day training at the Rinkeby police.

"It's a local education, to get to know their area and be introduced to what it's like to work here," says Niclas Andersson, local police area manager in Rinkeby.

How many will be patrolling in the area is not yet known, but the order guards are part of the City of Stockholm's investment of a hundred new order guards in the city. In a first turn, twenty new police guards will be trained by the police.
