“The president of a country that wants to be successful and democratic must sharply and harshly respond to such actions of the National Council. Because, if it continues to continue in the same vein, we will have one “1 + 1” channel for the whole country and there will be no freedom of speech, ”Boyko said on NEWSONE.
He stressed that such actions by the National Broadcasting Council undermine Ukraine’s reputation in Europe.
“The picture will be bad ... it's all ... destroys the image of our country in Europe,” said Boyko.
The deputy also confirmed that the faction intends to file a complaint with the European Parliament and the embassies of "those countries that provide financial support to the country."

Earlier, Verkhovna Rada deputy Vadim Rabinovich called the “murder of journalism” in Ukraine plans to revoke the NEWSONE license.
On September 5, it became known that the National Broadcasting Council of Ukraine decided to go to court with a request to revoke the NEWSONE channel’s license and close it for “inciting ethnic, racial or religious hatred or hatred”.
