- Women accuse Placido Domingo of harassment. The tenor: "Accurate charges"
Share05 September 2019Other 11 women accuse the legend of the work Placido Domingo of harassment. The testimonies were collected once again by the American press agency Associated Press (AP), to which the women told how the opera singer and conductor would threaten them and harassed them with inappropriate behavior.
One woman reported that in 1999 the current director-general of the Los Angeles Opera would grab her breast firmly under her dressing-gown while others told of unwanted contacts or attempts to kiss them. Several backstage employees also reported to the PA how they tried to protect the young girls from Domingo while the administrators looked the other way, until the 2016-2017 season of the Los Angeles Opera. In a statement, the singer's spokesman called the allegations "full of inconsistencies" but gave no details.
