The news in France is also Bernard Cazeneuve, the last prime minister of François Hollande, who no longer hides his ambitions to rebuild the Socialist Party (PS). He is currently back on the political scene. He is notably the star guest of the PS parliamentary days which take place in Avignon, until September 6th. Bernard Cazeneuve will make a big speech Thursday, September 5, in the City of the Popes but his return to the arena, it's been several months that we talk about it.

Until now Bernard Cazeneuve made dotted appearances . The former Minister of the Interior had for example come to the rescue of the PS candidate , Raphael Glucksmann, on the eve of the Europeans. This time it's good, he starts for real and his return is busy with an intervention in front of parliamentarians Thursday, September 5, in the afternoon, and then Sunday in front of activists in the Herault. There will also be the publication of the first volume of his book devoted to his experience in Beauvau and a thirty-page article in the journal Débats .

Ecology on the agenda

The former mayor of Cherbourg, a great defender of nuclear power, will present his conception of ecology, the central theme of the ideological overhaul of the current PS. This is a point of tension for some of the young socialist guard, which does not welcome all enthusiastic offers of service Bernard Cazeneuve.

Socialist elephants rely on the former minister to give hope to the party and to demonstrate that the left of government is not dead. So will he be a candidate for the presidential election of 2022? He answers that " no " by claiming to be part of a collective approach. Finally, it is " no " for now because if necessary, he will take his responsibilities, he said.
