Aksyonov noted that all politicians in Ukraine should recognize the truth that Crimea is part of Russia, "this is forever, there is the will of the people, and no one can change this."

According to him, the sooner Ukrainian politicians understand this, “the easier it will be” to Ukraine and the Crimea, RIA Novosti reports.

“As for Zelensky ... they have their own apartment here in Yalta, come, see what is happening here, ask people questions and ask if they want to go back to Ukraine, hear the answer and accordingly accept the answer, do as Crimeans want” - he said, adding that the decision to invite Zelensky to the Crimea is in the competence of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

In August, Zelensky, speaking in the Verkhovna Rada, said that one of the main tasks of the Ukrainian parliament is the "return of Crimea" to Ukraine.

Crimea became the Russian region after a referendum held in March 2014, in which the majority of the inhabitants of the peninsula called for reunification with Russia.
