“The Department of the Treasury’s Foreign Assets Control Department of the US Department of the Treasury has taken action against a large transportation network that provides financial support to the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps and Hezbollah terrorists,” the statement said.

The Finance Ministry said that with the help of this transport network, the Iranian side allegedly exported oil worth hundreds of millions of dollars over a year.

Sanctions were also imposed against 16 legal entities and 10 individuals, including citizens of Iran, India, the United Arab Emirates and Lebanon. A number of oil tankers also fell under sanctions.

Washington previously imposed sanctions against the Iranian space agency.
