In its French version, Business Insider has published pictures of Hurricane Durian, which struck the Bahamas, causing severe material and human damage, leaving at least seven dead and destroying thousands of homes.

The paper featured a number of images highlighting the power of the hurricane, taken by astronauts, showing spectacular scenes of the hurricane.

In addition to the deaths, the cyclone destroyed more than 13,000 homes, according to a preliminary assessment released by local authorities and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies on Tuesday.

According to the US National Hurricane Center, "the rotation is still very dangerous," although the intensity of the hurricane dropped to three degrees on the scale "Sapphire-Simpson," from four degrees.

Hurricane Durian, described by President Donald Trump as "terrible," is one of the strongest hurricanes in the Atlantic, with an average wind speed of 240 kilometers per hour.

Numerous photos and videos showed Dorian's devastation on Earth, while astronauts on board the International Space Station have documented impressive images of the hurricane.
