According to the acting deputy director of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ilya Timokhov, in an interview and statements by politicians and journalists in the United States, Canada, Britain, Germany and Sweden, a one-sided presentation of information about the Russian domestic political situation was revealed.

“In the West, they are not embarrassed by fulfilling their international obligations regarding non-interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states,” RIA Novosti quoted his statement as he spoke at a meeting of the working group of the Interim Commission of the Federation Council on protecting state sovereignty and preventing interference in Russia's internal affairs.

Timokhov emphasized that the Russian Foreign Ministry is constantly monitoring the global broadcast and taking measures to prevent such cases.

“Cases of overt intervention have been taken by us to control and measures are being taken ... We will continue to record and try to suppress all attempts by external forces to influence our domestic political situation,” he said.

He also said that on August 8, the Foreign Ministry called on the charge d'affaires ai of Germany, and on August 9, the US adviser-envoy to Moscow.

Earlier, the German television and radio company Deutsche Welle refused to participate in a meeting of the State Duma commission to investigate foreign interference in Russia's internal affairs.

In the State Duma, in response, they threatened to appeal to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with a demand to deprive Deutsche Welle of accreditation.

According to the commission of the Federation Council for the Prevention of Intervention in the Internal Affairs of Russia, on July 27, a direct call for participation in an unauthorized rally in Moscow was posted on Deutsche Welle's Twitter account.
