"By decision of the strategic council of our party, the chairman of the political council, Viktor Medvedchuk, will take part in the Eastern Economic Forum, which will be held on September 4-6, 2019 in Vladivostok," the statement said.

In particular, Medvedchuk plans to discuss the issue of gas transit through Ukraine, as well as hold meetings with business representatives of the Asia-Pacific region.

“Our party considers the issues of gas transit through our country and Ukraine’s return to the number of successful and reliable transit countries of goods from Asia to the EU to be critical,” the Opposition Platform for Life noted.

Earlier, Medvedchuk called on Kiev to revise the terms of the agreement on a free trade zone with the European Union in order to “revive” the Ukrainian economy.

He also called negotiations with Russia as the only solution to the gas problem in Ukraine.
