“From the beginning of the year (from December 28, 2018 to August 29, 2019), 57 637 people - 27 296 adults and 30 341 children fell ill with measles, 19 people died from measles complications,” the ministry said.

The center also warned that due to the beginning of the school year in Ukraine, the incidence of measles could increase.

Earlier, the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova, in an interview with RT on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum, spoke about the difficult situation with measles in Ukraine.

On August 27, the Polish National Institute of Public Health announced that the number of people suffering from measles has increased significantly.
