Giuseppe Conte appoints Luigi Di Maio Minister of Foreign Affairs

The Italian Prime Minister in charge of forming the new Government between the Five Star Movement (M5S) and the Democratic Party (PD), Giuseppe Conte, today announced his government team, in which the leader of the M5S, Luigi Di Maio, will be Foreign Minister

The Interior portfolio will be occupied by Luciana Lamorgese (independent); that of Justice, Alfonso Bonafede (M5S); Defense, Lorenzo Guerini (PD); and of Economy, Roberto Gualtieri (PD).

Conte and his ministers will swear his office tomorrow at the headquarters of the Head of State, as announced by the secretary general of the Presidency of the Republic, Ugo Zampetti.
