In a rare incident, a young Saudi man was able to save the house of his neighbors in Riyadh from the fire after a fire broke out in a car next to the house, prompting the young man to drive her own car before the arrival of the Saudi Civil Defense crew to the scene.
A video posted on social media showed a young man driving in his own car by the burning car next to the house, even taking it away.
The Civil Defense arrived at the scene and started to extinguish the fire in the car, and issued a statement praising the courage and initiative of the young man, but warned of such actions, which may result in great danger, especially since there are no detainees at the site.
The Civil Defense said in a statement that such dealings may help spread the fire to more than one site and develop it seriously, leading to material losses.
The civil defense warned against the use of this method by others, stressing that the priority in such cases is to evacuate the house and vehicles adjacent to the incident, the statement also called on the initiators to assess the cases and their importance and not to expose themselves to high risks, especially in the absence of detainees or injured.
