We got a parliament in which deputies will not hide from the law, and a society in which there will no longer be an “inviolable caste,” Zelensky wrote on his Facebook page.

On September 3, the Parliament of Ukraine adopted in final reading a bill to abolish parliamentary immunity from January 1, 2020.

Zelensky noted that his bill on depriving deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of immunity concerns only the possibility of bringing them to criminal liability, but does not provide for the lifting of immunity for political decisions.
