Pressure on the opposition continues in Russia: Monday evening, three of its leaders were briefly arrested by the police. Two of them are accused of organizing demonstrations that did not receive prior authorization from the authorities. They are summoned to appear in court Tuesday.

Sunday, a new demonstration was held in the Russian capital. Its participants denounced the " political repressions " . At the end of the various mobilizations this summer agitated in Moscow, the police sometimes made many arrests.

Supporters boiling

When three opposition representatives are arrested Monday night in Moscow, their supporters are boiling. Journalist Ilya Azar was taken by police while smoking on the steps of his landing. The other two are Nikolai Liaskin and Lyubov Sobol, both close to Alexei Navalny, the fiercest opponent of the Kremlin.

Ilya Azar and Liubov Sobol are due to appear on Tuesday in a Moscow court. They are accused of organizing demonstrations outside the legal framework, that is to say without the approval of the municipality.

Multiplication of bullying

In recent weeks, the main opposition Liberal representatives have chained short prison sentences for the same reason. Authorities have increased intimidation to calm the excitement of protesters. Some face prison sentences for "mass disorder" or "violence against the police".

This Tuesday, a blogger was sentenced to five years in prison for a provocative message against police published on the internet.
