KHARTOUM (Reuters) - Sudan's Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk said on Sunday that the situation was appropriate to remove Sudan from the list of state sponsors of terrorism.

In a press conference with German Foreign Minister Heiko Mas, Hamdouk said that we must work to boost production, so that we rely on our resources instead of aid.

He said: "I determined - during my dialogue with freedom and change - that the government be a problem of competencies," hinting that he discussed the importance of women's representation in government with the forces of freedom and change.

In turn, the German Foreign Minister stressed: «We will continue to support Sudan, providing him with $ 15 million, directed to humanitarian assistance».

Mas expressed that his country has a development cooperation plan with the new government of Sudan, pointing out that the Sudanese government must make unremitting efforts, in order to remove it from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism.

This comes at a time when informed sources said that freedom and change decided that the transitional government is composed of 18 ministries and a number of higher councils, including culture, media and higher education, so that they are agile and flaccid.

The spokesman for the Sovereign Council, Mohammed al-Faki Suleiman, said after an extraordinary meeting attended by Hamdouk, yesterday, that the announcement of the names of government ministers will be within 48 hours at the latest.

Suleiman added that the meeting discussed two basic issues: the formation of the Peace Commission and the delay in forming the executive government.

He explained that the meeting stressed the need to accelerate the formation of the Peace Commission, because of its association with the negotiations with armed movements, and the linking of the issue of peace with the first six months of the transition period, as stipulated in the constitutional document.
