Lund Kopparklint (M) says that it is more important that a good person becomes head of state than it does quickly, but that the time limit for what is reasonable is now passed.

She is now asking a question to Civil Minister Ardalan Shekarabi (S) about why it is taking such an unreasonably long time.

"Unhappy for Värmland"

Several others agree with the criticism.

"It is serious that a governor has not been appointed yet," says Daniel Bäckström (C), parliamentary member from Säffle.

- It is unfortunate for Värmland, we need a governor as soon as possible, says Lars Mejern Larsson (S), MP from Karlstad.

"It's bad when you have had seven months," says Håkan Svenneling (V), Karlstad MP.

- Now things have been a bit slow in the long run, I hope you find a governor fairly soon, says Arman Teimouri (L), Karlstad MP.

"An important function"

At the turn of the year, Kenneth Johansson left the position as governor, the 25th in the order since Värmland became an independent county in 1779. Since the turn of the year, the residence in Karlstad has also been uninhabited and an acting governor has been head of the county administrative board.

"The function is important, we need a strong voice towards the state," says Arman Teimouri, who himself worked with the latest governor Kenneth Johansson.

- Very strange that the issue is not given a higher priority, says Christian Democrat Kjell-Arne Ottosson, from Årjäng.

He states that he should now ask the relevant minister why the appointment is delayed.

The question is being prepared

Civil Minister Ardalan Shekarabi (S) today does not want to comment on the issue of a new governor in Värmland.

Through his press secretary he greets that the matter is being prepared and that he should communicate when it is clear.

When can it be? No comments from the Minister.
