  • Poll Sigma Two. The majority do not want elections and accuse Pedro Sánchez of forcing them

The PSOE refuses to date a new meeting between Pedro Sánchez and Pablo Iglesias. The secretary of Organization and acting Minister of Development, José Luis Ábalos, made this appointment a few days ago and the meeting of the President of the Government with other national leaders in the next week of September. Today Ábalos himself has left the interview between Sánchez and Iglesias on the air because contacts will previously occur between the negotiating teams of the PSOE and United Podemos.

The leader has assumed that they will meet this week. Tomorrow the president will present at a public event the government program that he has prepared after the round of contacts held in August with social organizations and with measures of the socialist program and of Podemos. This is the offer of agreement that they will make to the purple formation.

Representatives of each party will sit in the next few days to explore the pact options, even though they start from antagonistic views: We can insist on a coalition executive while the PSOE banishes this alternative due to the failure of the investiture negotiations. July and proposes only a pact on a series of measures that guarantees the Government some parliamentary stability. They will be the same negotiators: Carmen Calvo, María Jesús Montero and Adriana Lastra, from the PSOE, and Pablo Echenique, Noelia Vera and Ione Belarra , from Podemos.

In parallel, the person responsible for the Organization will have an appointment with ERC, presumably with his spokesman for the Congress, Gabriel Rufián. And the president will travel to Bilbao and Santander to sit down with PNV and the Cantabria Regionalist Party.

But Ábalos did not want to confirm whether there will be a meeting of the president with Iglesias, regardless of the outcome of these conversations. He has not done so with the argument that "I do not want to anticipate failure." The truth is that the socialists cool this possible interview, although from Ferraz they clarify that their celebration will not be "based" on how contacts develop.
