Goncharuk: land reform will allow foreigners to buy land

Prime Minister of Ukraine Aleksey Goncharuk on the air of the ICTV channel said that the land reform, which is being developed by the new Ukrainian government, will provide for the possibility of acquiring agricultural land by foreigners.

“We need to allow land transactions for everyone who has the opportunity to process it now, including for foreign citizens, but on condition that they register a legal entity here in Ukraine and pay taxes here,” the prime minister said.

He noted that it is planned to create preferences for Ukrainian farmers, in particular for compensating the interest rate on loans.

“We plan that the Ukrainian was potentially in more favorable conditions than his foreign competitor,” Goncharuk added.

Goncharuk said earlier that he intends to achieve a 40% increase in the country's gross domestic product (GDP) over the next five years.
