01 September 201918.50 Afd leaps strong in the elections in Saxony and Brandenburg: the far right is not in the head: the anti-immigrant party 5 years ago was 9.7%, and now it has advanced to 27.5 in Saxony. In Brandenburg it stands between 22.5% and 24.5%; in 2014 it had 12.2%. First the SPD socialists. Chancellor Merkel's Christian Democrats (CDU) are down 7.4% but are confirmed as the first party with around 32% of the votes in Saxony. While in Brandenburg it is third with 15.5%. This according to the exit polls.
