Sweden's Sebastian Söderberg won the European Masters Golf Championship by beating four players, including Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy, on Sunday at the Crans-Montana course.

Söderberg finished with a total of -14 as did McIlroy, Italy's Lorenzo Gagli, Andrés Romero of Argentina and Finland's Kalle Samooja. He won the first hole in the jump with a birdie and a ten-meter putt to take away the first trophy of his career. "It's amazing, playing with Rory, with so many people all around, has spiked the game," said the 28-year-old.

For his part, McIlroy, N.2 world, was still beaten in play-off as in 2018.

The best Frenchman, Michael Lorenzo-Vera, took the 6th place, at one stroke of the leading group.
