Twelve dissident rebels of the former FARC guerrillas were killed in 48 hours. Since former guerrilla leader Ivan Marquez announced that he was taking up arms, in a video broadcast Thursday on the internet, the Colombian army has conducted dozens of operations.

Ivan Marquez had been chief negotiator of the 2016 peace agreement that allowed the demobilization of this guerrilla. He is now accusing the Colombian state government of betraying the agreements. The government of Ivan Duque is on the war footing.

The army intends to fight back and let it know. Friday morning, less than 24 hours after the publication of the video where Ivan Marquez appears armed with twenty of his comrades, President Ivan Duque announced on television have authorized air raids in the south of the country.

The head of state then confirmed the death of nine "narco-criminals", a term used by the authorities to designate the rebels who remained in the maquis or those who now decide to return. They would be about 3,000, according to the authorities. These rebels are not all coordinated with each other for the moment.

In total, twelve men were killed during the bombing. In two days, the army has carried out more than forty operations against these rebels. The time of the war has come back.
