Agents of the National Police and the Local Police of Paterna have arrested in this Valencian town a 66-year-old man who, apparently, would have killed his 39-year-old son , after having an argument with him, they have informed EFE police sources.
The events occurred at 00:30 hours on Sunday in the town of Paterna, when after an argument between the detainee and his son , both Spaniards, the first stabbed the second in the chest, which caused his death.
A SAMU unit that assisted the victim but could not do anything to save his life was displaced, as reported by the Emergency Information and Coordination Center (CICU)
The detainee was transferred to the Superior Police Headquarters of Valencia, where he remains detained for a crime of homicide in the family , waiting to go to court.
Police sources have informed EFE that both the father and the son had a history of physical abuse in the family.
