As he said in an interview with 1 + 1, this moment was the second conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin after the death of four Ukrainian military in the Donbass.

“The most difficult moment, perhaps, when there were four dead, and after that I spoke with the President of Russia,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

On August 6, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced that four servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were killed as a result of two shelling of Ukrainian positions in the Donbass. The representative office of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic in the Joint Center for the Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire Regime (JCCC) stated that the DPR was not involved in the incident.

Zelensky later said that he had a telephone conversation with Putin to discuss the situation in the Donbass and the deaths of the military.
