PSG: Neymar would give up his transfer to Barça, according to L'Equipe

According to the newspaper L'Equipe and the Spanish press on Saturday night, Brazilian striker Neymar, PSG's flagship player, would give up his transfer to FC Barcelona and announced his decision to his entourage.

"The entourage of the PSG striker informed both clubs of his decision to end the current season in Paris," writes L'Equipe on its website.

"Noting the inability to finalize a return to FC Barcelona despite lengthy negotiations, Neymar announced to his family, this Saturday night, his decision to stop the discussions," adds the sports daily.

"The entourage of Neymar admits it is over," said Mundo Deportivo earlier, in Spain.

If confirmed, this announcement would end a long serial that held the football planet in suspense throughout the transfer window.

Friday night, PSG sports director Leonardo explained that there was "no agreement, it depends on Barcelona," explaining that the only written offer of the Catalans, submitted Tuesday, did not meet the requirements of Paris.
