In a few seconds, the maneuver gave hackers full access to almost all the most personal information of the phone: photos, live geolocation, phone book, messages received or sent on Gmail, IMessage and even on couriers encrypted like WhatsApp, Signal and Telegram.

Hackers could even recover all the passwords stored on the phone. Hackers targeting certain communities not identified by Google, which also does not give the number of victims, probably many because infected sites record several thousand connections per week.

Another unknown: Google researchers keep silent about the origin of the virus. But all experts agree that such a long and sophisticated attack could only be carried out by a state, if only because of its estimated cost of tens of millions of dollars. But a probably newbie, who makes mistakes according to Google. An IP address has been forgotten about the virus, allowing to identify its origin.
