Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said today that his country will implement its own operations plan for the safe area in northern Syria if the Turkish army does not control the area within a few weeks.

"We no longer have patience with the establishment of the area east of the Euphrates along the Syrian-Turkish border, and we will not accept anything other than our army's control over this area," Erdogan said during a speech at a ceremony for the graduation of graduates at Istanbul's National Defense University.

"We will implement our own operation plan if our soldiers do not take control of the area within a few weeks, and if we do not start the establishment of this area effectively through our soldiers and conditions within two or three weeks, let the other side think about the consequences."

He also considered the Turkish President "continue the PKK terrorist separatist organization, which we have defeated its activities under the cloak of our ally; another problem before us today."

He stressed that what he described as "the injustice of this organization towards the people of the east of the Euphrates" can no longer be hidden, stressing that the problem in the region is not in the organization "IS" (Islamic State), but a war of interests of several forces, no one is trying to invoke this organization to pass its projects , As he put it.

Turkey and the United States have formed a joint operations center for the planned safe area on Syria's northeast border, but are at odds over its size and command structure.

On August 24, Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar announced that the Joint Operations Center with the United States would start operating at full capacity and begin the implementation of the first phase of the field to establish a safe area in Syria.

Akar confirmed that the first joint sorties of helicopters with the American side began, and the destruction of sites and fortifications of militants in northeastern Syria.
