Roger Federer dispatched Friday his match of the third round of the US Open in 1:20 at the expense of the British Daniel Evans (58) that he dominated 6-2, 6-2, 6-1.

In the round of 16, the N.3 world will face David Goffin (15th) or Pablo Carreno (69th).

Scheduled at midday when he played in the afternoon and the evening until then, the Swiss was much more convincing than in his first two rounds in which he had conceded each time the first run.

"I did the same (only in the first two games), maybe he was tired because he had played the day before," said Federer to explain including his excellent introduction.

He qualified for the third round on Wednesday while taking advantage of the roof of the Arthur-Ashe court while Evans' match was postponed to Thursday because of the rain.

Friday, the sun shone on Flushing Meadows: "the game was faster than the evening and that under the roof that makes the atmosphere humid", explained Federer to whom these conditions are better.
