Kungälv politicians' decisions raise strong feelings, which SVT News has reported on in several elements and articles.

Now the Teachers' Union comments on the decision.

"I have been a unionist for 30 years, this is probably the most unwise political decision I have made," says Peter Hvass, chairman of the Kungälv Teachers' Union.

According to Peter Hvass, the decision is bad from several aspects.

- One is that you send signals about what personnel policy you are implementing in Kungälv, which does not make the municipality an attractive employer. We have a central agreement that we should strive for a strategic competence supply in the municipality, this is not how you do it.

Thinking of pushing the issue

Peter Hvass also believes, as has been mentioned before, that the educators who choose to eat in the dining room contribute to a calmer environment.

But according to politicians, the headmaster can decide how many educators should be in the dining room each day and compensate for this, is that not true?

- Yes, but if the principal is to schedule educators who will spend working hours in the dining room, then important time will disappear from teaching and preparation for teaching, says Peter Hvass.

Sitting with and eating school lunch for staff means multiple breaks in your lunch to correct or help students! Most often the lunch ends with you eating cold food from the plate when most students have left the dining room!

Expensive at 60 SEK !! Of course, should be free if teachers are expected to be guards at their precious lunch time. Better and cheaper with lunch box, coffee and some peace and quiet with colleagues!
Soon to pay for Securitas presence during lunches!

"SVT tries to keep to the facts", when did you start with it and whose "facts" is what you present?

Christer Carneby

Unclear reporting. Suppose it means that 70% of teachers do not eat food in the dining room at their break. If the total number is equal to all teachers at the school, the numbers are incorrect because a fairly large number, at least in the elementary school have educational lunch (working) and it is free

Yes teachers should have the right to buy food at school. Away with this neoliberalism.

Can't people read? Or do they just want to believe one thing? The same problem in all parts of society, the media puts a headline and people "know" everything. SVT is still trying to stick to the facts, yet 90% of the comments are proof that people do not understand what is said. Unfortunately, it does not seem to be a "youth problem", but also many older people who apparently have lost everything in reading comprehension.

Teachers should eat for free! The children are our future. The teachers help create a safe environment as it gets tougher, this is pure idiocy! Anyone who has decided this has probably neither their own children nor even found themselves in a school dining room. Competition and team requirements ... pyttsan :-(

Stupid, I think teachers who work during lunch should have free food and everyone else should pay.

You know what? If they can't buy the food, they can get it for free!
