Medvedev instructed to create a comfortable passenger fleet on the Volga

Medvedev stressed that the average age of the Volga courts is about 40 years.

“Investments in the construction of new ships are practically absent, since the cost of their construction is high, and the profitability is not so high. But all the same, you need to think about it, what should be done to make such a passenger fleet appear on the Volga, ”the prime minister said.

He also called for “making the Volga navigable wherever possible”, ensuring a guaranteed depth of the ship at least four meters.

Earlier, Realnoe Vremya reported that since 2023 they intend to start raising vessels sunk in the Volga channel in Tatarstan.
