“The main argument is that in conditions of war, a young government that has no experience, it is responsible for the largest security bloc,” the prime minister quoted Interfax-Ukraine as saying.

According to the Prime Minister, Avakov “took part in ensuring fair elections.”

“Together, the team decided to leave him,” Goncharuk added.

As the prime minister noted, if the press or civil society “has concrete claims in essence, the person will have to leave.”

“By the way, this concerns not only Avakov,” he stressed.

On August 29, the Verkhovna Rada of the new convocation elected Alexey Goncharuk as Prime Minister of Ukraine.

Goncharuk submitted to the parliament the composition of his cabinet, which included 15 ministers and two deputy prime ministers.

At the post of head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it was proposed to keep Avakov.
