“China has never expressed irresponsibly regarding Ukraine’s domestic and foreign policy, it has never demanded that Ukraine choose between China and the United States. And the United States should not brazenly interfere in the internal and external affairs of Ukraine, as well as require Ukraine to choose between China and the United States, ”Interfax-Ukraine quoted the Chinese ambassador at a briefing in Kiev.
Du Wei noted that the assistant to the President of the United States for National Security, John Bolton, during his visit to Kiev, showed interest in the issue of Sino-Ukrainian cooperation in the field of military technology.
“I would like to say that cooperation in the field of military technology, of course, is an important component of business cooperation between China and Ukraine, which is also based on the principles of mutual benefit and win-win,” the Chinese diplomat emphasized.
Earlier, following his visit to Kiev, Bolton announced the US’s desire to prevent Ukraine from becoming a "victim of China's economic exploitation."
In anticipation of Bolton’s visit to Ukraine, The Wall Street Journal announced his plans to thwart a deal to sell Motor Sich, a Ukrainian company, to a group of companies, including Beijing Skyrizon Aviation, China.
Later, Motor Sich announced the purchase of more than 50% of the plant’s shares by the Chinese Skyrizon and Xinwei Group.
