29 August 2019The Ukrainian Parliament has appointed the little-known 35-year-old jurist Oleksiy Goncharuk as prime minister, proposed by President Volodymyr Zelensky. 290 MPs voted in favor of the nomination.

Goncharuk, a former lawyer with only three months of work experience with the Zelensky administration, has promised parliamentarians to "put an end to corruption".
