The prosecutor does not want to comment on the reason why the 30-year-old man is now released.
The 30-year-old man has been detained since August 3, and was arrested on August 15. He was arrested in his home in a small town in the Växjö area, after a time trial.
He is suspected of causing damage to 16 hunting towers and also to a hunting cart and hunting lodge during the summer. According to the prosecutor, he must have links to an action group against hunting. Several hunting towers that have been vandalized have been knocked down with symbols linked to animal rights activists.
SVT is seeking Chief Prosecutor Carl-Gunnar Fridolfsson for a comment.
