The documentation says that the funds have been allocated to the “Russian-language television / online supplement on EU-Russia relations with an emphasis on EU-funded projects in Russia.”
The European Union transferred a similar amount to Rain in 2015. In 2016, the amount of allocated funds amounted to € 59,992, and in 2018 - € 109,995.
Earlier, RT found out that the Dozhd channel also received money from the Sreda Foundation, a UK-based Russian media support fund.
