Commenting on the fire in the RGALI building in July, Goryaeva noted that “losses during a fire are not so significant.”

“Cases affected by the fire undergo special processing, the rest have already been dried and returned to their usual place in the vault,” she said.

In July, a fire broke out in the north of Moscow at the Russian State Archive of Literature and Art. Later, the press service of the Russian Archive said that, according to preliminary data, valuable documents were not affected by the fire in the RGALI.
