"The moped was seized on May 30, 2019, and the suspected dangerous object has been in the moped without personnel discovering it until August 19, 2019," the complaint states.

There was a woman who reported the moped stolen May 26. The report was closed the same day but a few days the police saw a person driving the moped.

"When the driver saw the police car, it chose to first gas on and then turn at the same time as it put down the moped and got off on the fly," according to the report.

The driver ran from the scene and the moped was seized. It was only when it was released to the owner that the explosive was discovered. The bomb detonated when the bomb guard was working on the moped and a preliminary investigation into preparation for general destruction was ongoing. Police are also investigating possible links to the explosion on Ådalagatan in Linköping earlier in June.

The service error report submitted has been written off.
