The interim capital of Aden and other southern governorates witnessed successive developments within three weeks of the coup of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council and its takeover of Aden and other areas to the return of legitimate government forces.

On August 10, the Southern Transitional Council and military arms in the name of the UAE-backed security belt forces took control of Aden, later moved into Abyan, where Zanzibar fell, and Shabwah joined Abyan and Aden, the strategic gateway to Hadramaut and Mahra, with an oil field and gas pipelines; This was considered a coup against legitimacy with Emirati support.

• The government of President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi stepped up against the UAE-backed coup.However, the last days were pregnant with remarkable developments, as the legitimate government forces recaptured Shabwa and expelled the Shabwani elite forces, who are supported by the UAE from the center of the governorate, and surrendered some of the same forces after their defeat in intermittent clashes.

• Clashes took place in areas such as Balhaf, where there is a liquefied natural gas port and the headquarters of the UAE military command that went out to neighboring Hadramout.

• These accelerated results moved the Yemeni National Army to complete its control and restore the areas, where the legitimate government forces recaptured the city of Shaqra, Qarn Mkalasi, Wadi Hassan and the mountains of Arqoub in Abyan and entered Zanzibar, which regained the legitimacy and is the administrative center of the province of Abyan, and then the direction towards the Valley Doves on the border Between Abyan and Aden.

We are now approaching Aden, where government forces have reached the al-Alam area at the eastern entrance to the city, 12 kilometers away. Government forces then moved to Arish, which follows Khor Maksar.

• On the way, the main gate of the airport was controlled, and the legitimate forces then proceeded across the maritime line towards Al-Maasheq Palace in Crater Directorate, and clashes took place with the transitional Council gunmen and the UAE-backed security belt.

• Another development in Aden was the declaration of the directors of Sheikh Othman and Dar Saad to support legitimacy.

• Attention has been drawn to the directorates of Mualla, Tawahi and Brega, where the headquarters of the Saudi-Emirati coalition and the security belt forces remained under their control, making the scene so far, although favored by the legitimacy of the forces has not been resolved entirely in Aden.
